With our offering of classes, services and workshops, our goal is to provide a balanced, holistic approach promoting health, vitality and well-being, sharing Living Yoga’s philosophy: Move through life with grace and ease in Body, Mind and Spirit.
The Sanskrit word “Yoga” means union and the practice encourages harmony and balance between the body and mind. Yoga postures, or asanas, are performed to stimulate the glandular systems of the body to regulate hormone production and promote total health. The benefits of regular practice include: increased strength, flexibility, balance and stamina; improved circulation and regulation of blood pressure; relief from insomnia, chronic tension and stress; and a strengthened immune system. Yoga also promotes mental clarity, concentration and focus.
An ancient and sacred Tibetan system of healing, Reiki means spiritually-guided life force energy. A Reiki treatment is a gentle, non-manipulative, hands-on practice that uses a series of traditional hand placements. Reiki catalyzes the body’s natural ability to heal itself and promotes mental clarity, stress relief, emotional balance, general well-being and provides an impetus to spiritual growth.
Through intentional and systematic manipulation of soft tissue, therapeutic massage improves circulation, promotes lymphatic drainage, improves range of motion and flexibilty, decreases chronic and temporary muscular pain and increases endorphins, the body’s natural pain killers.
