The Yoga Nest is a place where women and their partners come to learn and be empowered to listen to their hearts and their guts and their inner knowing. I want them to feel safe to share and be themselves. I want them to enjoy and have fun and get excited about the journey of life in general and of birth specifically.
Our yoga classes explore the physical aspect of getting body ready for birth, and also use the breath as a guide for emotional and physical healing and creating peace within. We have a community and a camaraderie among women who are all getting ready for birth, which is by far the most incredible time of our lives as we create life and bring it out into the world.
In our classes we also like to share and open our hearts and we practice non judgement as we understand there is not only one way to get to where you want to be. Women choose different ways to birth their babies.
I like to partner and support other businesses in the area who offer healing and support to women.
Ifat (pronounced E-Phat) is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT), Internationally Certified Doula with Network Doulas of the World, Birthing From Within Mentor, and a Mother of three.
Ifat’s three birth experiences were quite different from each other. She experienced a hospital, birth center, and a home birth. It was her own birth journeys (including a couple of miscarriages) that sparked the passion for her to support other women and their partners during pregnancy, birth and beyond.
Ifat offers guidance and support physically, emotionally and spiritually. She enjoys working with couples facing their fears, explores how to view pain from different angles and empowers couples to strengthen confidence in themselves. Coming from the yoga background, she likes to incorporate postures, breathing techniques, and guided meditation as she guides you to have the best possible birth experience.
